Our Services
Three Ways to Bring Order to Family Records
Each Cedarline service is built around the same principle: calm, clear, general information and administrative support — at the pace that suits your family.
← Back to HomeHow We Work
Our Approach to Document Organisation
Cedarline follows a consistent method across all three services. Before any session or workshop, we explain clearly what will happen and what you will leave with. During the work, we move at your pace and check in regularly to make sure the process feels manageable. Afterwards, you hold organised, usable materials. We do not advise on what to do with records — we help you understand and organise what you have.
1. Initial Conversation
A brief, no-obligation exchange to understand what your family is looking for and which service best fits.
2. Structured Support
The session or workshop proceeds at your pace, guided by a clear checklist, with explanations throughout.
3. Tangible Output
You leave with a sorted inventory, clear notes, or membership materials — all immediately useful and easy to refer back to.
Service 01
Gentle Inventory Session
A respectful, administrative session helping families build a clear, organised inventory of belongings and papers at a comfortable pace. Suited to sensitive times when careful records matter. Organising and information support only, with no advice on any matter.
- One-to-one administrative session with a Cedarline team member
- Structured inventory checklist built around your specific records
- Session runs at your pace — no fixed end time
- Output: a clear, organised record you keep and can share
How a Session Typically Runs
Brief welcome — we explain the session structure and confirm what you would like to cover.
We work through documents and belongings together, recording each item clearly.
We organise the inventory into clear categories and review it together before closing.
You receive the completed inventory. We are available by phone or email for any follow-up questions.
Duration: Typically 2–3 hours. Can be adjusted to suit the family's pace and the volume of records.
Format: Suitable for 2–8 adults. Can be arranged for a single family or a small group of families with similar interests.
Service 02
Plain-Language Records Workshop
A general-education workshop explaining how family records are commonly arranged and kept, in simple terms. Built to make everyday understanding easier. Content is general and never tailored to an individual's case.
- Half-day workshop format (approximately four hours)
- Plain-language throughout — no assumed prior knowledge
- Covers document categories, common filing approaches, and record storage
- Reference handout included for all attendees
Workshop Structure
Introduction: what kinds of records families typically hold and why keeping them matters.
Categories: a plain-language overview of common document types and how they are generally sorted.
Organisation: approaches to storage and labelling that make records easy to find later.
Q&A and summary: time for general questions and a recap handout for each attendee.
